Marvels, not Mutts

 

Patrick McDonnell's Mutts is my favorite comic strip currently running in newspapers. Do you realize this year is the 28th anniversary of Mutts? So many fun gags with Earl the dog and Mooch the cat!

It's always been clear that Mr. McDonnell is a fan of comics. Every summer during the week of the San Diego Comicon he devotes a week of Mutts to costumed comics characters usually from Marvel Comics. It has been my pleasure to share those comics-related strips to readers of The Hayfamzone Blog, like in this post.

Now it has been announced that there will be a McDonnell autobiography with a heavy slant toward how comic books influenced the gentleman's life! This is a book to look forward to and it will be released in Fall of 2023...
