Comic Foundry

I never saw one issue and I had never even heard of it before yesterday, but it seems that Comic Foundry was a pretty good magazine about comic books. It lasted four issues in and around 2008, and then it was gone.

But I have some good news for you! Their archive of interviews and stories remains accessible online! It looks like there are about one hundred articles in that archive, and I'll list a few so you can decide whether you want to investigate further for yourself:
  • Neal Adams told readers how to be a successful artist.
  • Mike Gold told what went on behind the scenes in 1988 with Action Comics Weekly.
  • Allan Heinberg talked about his Young Avengers title.
  • Klaus Janson gave the "ultimate" interview about inking.
  • Joe Quesada described his job as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics.
I have merely scratched the tip of the iceberg here. You can read these articles and see the full archive list over here.
