The New Superman Movie

"Waiting for Superman" is in movie theaters right now, but it's not really about Superman. It is the story of some students who apply to get into a charter school, a school with a better reputation than the one that they would normally attend.

Geoffrey Canada is the well-regarded principal of a charter school in New York City. If you're a regular viewer of 60 Minutes you've seen him profiled there once or twice, and Mr. Canada has revealed that he read and enjoyed comic books in his childhood. In the following snippet from "Waiting for Superman" you can hear Mr. Canada explain the title of the new film. It is not light-hearted.
