Alex Ross and Brian Hayes Think Alike

 

 

Ben Grimm's mad face!  His fist clenched with the rest of his arm cropped out of the drawing! It's a powerful and fun layout, right? That's what I thought also when I drew it back in 1983 for my commentary strip in The Comics Buyer's Guide.

Far more recently, Alex Ross has made good use of this same general layout. I wonder if any other artists through the years have also used this design? Please write in with a comment if know of any other instances, thanks!
