Marvel Comics at the Museum
The Museum of Science and Industry is located in Chicago and it first opened in 1933. It's huge and it's fun. I visited there when I was a kid and many times since. Everybody in Chicago goes there sometime!
The museum has been closed for months because of you-know-what, but it re-opened this week. To entice the public back in through its doors, the MSI is featuring a Marvel Comics Museum Show that runs from now through October.
Attendees can pose with life-size Marvel hero statues. A copy of Amazing Fantasy #15 is on display. Some original artwork from Marvel Comics is there to view. This event is like a comic book convention in many ways except that there are no comics for sale.
Chicago is the fourth stop for this Marvel Museum Show and I have no doubt that this MSI incarnation will blow the attendance records from the last three stops out of the water! A nice 40-second video overview of the Museum Show can be viewed over here. Feel free to post a comment here on The Hayfamzone Blog to tell us how you like it if you attend the Show!
