Here are a couple of modern-day takes on Betty and Veronica from the Archie comics. Look for yourself right over here. I like quite a bit about each strip (but I do wish a little more attention had been paid to the lettering).

The annotations that follow the strips are extensive and make for a fun read themselves. I'm always on the lookout for interesting things like this!
