Do you know that one episode of the PBS series Pioneers of Television focused specifically on live-action TV programs that feature superheroes? Of course it all started with Superman in the 1950s, then Batman in the 1960s, and Wonder Woman and The Hulk in the 1970s, and so many after that.
The Pioneers show is very well produced and features new interviews with Adam West and Lynda Carter and other stars of the above-named shows.
