The above is possibly my favorite photo of Jack Kirby ever.
Shot by Vincent Davis and appearing in the 1972 Bill Schelly fanzine Sense of Wonder #12, the photo is copyright 1971 by Richard Kyle. (By the way, I used to own the original Don Newton cover artwork to this fanzine.)
The article by Robert Cosgrove that accompanies the photo is entitled Jack Kirby, Modern Mythologist and I'll see about transcribing that on a future day.
